Jeff Sterling
Jeff came to PCD after seeing that they were doing the level and quality projects that I wanted to be involved with and have a professional team in the field and office to support it.
Jeff worked in the music and recording industry one form or another, being a Recording Engineer, Producer, Composer, Sound Designer and Musician, systems designer, and installation technician. He ran a music store and recording studio in San Jose and got into systems design. Jeff was written up in Keyboard magazine as one of the top 10 electronic keyboard and synthesizer programmers and for sales of esoteric high-end instruments. He worked with The Grateful Dead doing production for the Band and recorded and produced Mickey Hart's plethora of world music. He composed, recorded and did FOH mixing on Planet Drum Tour with his hero Don Pearson as a system tech. He learned firsthand about large format sound system tuning and how to EQ a system for each of the venues played. You can't ask for a better teacher in this field and Jeff was honored to work with him.
Jeff has done music working with: Mickey Hart, Bob Weir, Jerry Garcia, Grateful Dead Productions, Steve Miller, Huey Lewis and The News, Santana, Don Pearson, and many more.
Steve Nakashima
Steve started his electronics career selling in then managing high end consumer audio retail. This covered everything from turntables and cartridges to whole house audio/video distribution systems. He learned about obstacles in home construction that made installs difficult but also saw how happy a client could be once all the issues were overcome. For the past seven years Steve has worked in commercial AV, applying lessons learned from residential AV, to make my new clients satisfied as well. Steve’s experience managing a service team gives him unique insight into how to build a system to last and be serviceable.
